30 Days of Pictures – Day 3 – Clouds | Sarasota Photographer

Sunday, July 3rd, 2011

This morning, I went out with the “real” camera, but wouldn’t you know it, not a single cloud in the sky. Madelyn got her cloud picture outside our backdoor, just before leaving the house to see the RAYS game. I was running around getting all the last minute stuff packed to take to the game and didn’t have time to get my shots in. I will admit though, that I was actually excited to take my pictures on the Road. I snapped these with my camera phone while driving over the big, Skyway bridge. I felt like I had an eagle-eye view to the clouds.

On the way home, we saw the most awesome vibrant double rainbows, and were lucky enough to see both the “beginning” and “end” of both of them. I couldn’t resist taking pictures of that too. I was really wishing I had the real camera with me, but the camera phone pictures will have to do.

30 Days of Pictures, Day 2 – What I Wore Today | Sarasota Photographer

Sunday, July 3rd, 2011

Well, it’s day two, just barely, and we’ve already hit a bump (quite literally).  My point and shoot camera took a tumble onto the wood floors while Madelyn was setting up her picture and is now not functioning.  So, her picture is missing from tonight’s challenge.

So, this “what I wore” is kind of a stretch.  I did have it on, in the fitting room.  Our family was hit with yet another stomach bug, so there was no fun beach or boating for me today.  Instead, I did a little retail therapy and got this new swim suit.  And then, on the way home, there was this beautiful rainbow outside our front door. Taken with my phone.  SO, there it is, sunshine and rainbows in Sarasota.

30 Days of Pictures – Day 1 – Self Portrait | Sarasota Child Photographer

Friday, July 1st, 2011

I often see various photography challenges, but, being that I am type A and can’t stand doing something that I’m not sure I will complete or do my best, I haven’t done them. BUT, it’s summer, and I was looking for something special to do with Madelyn. Since she takes after me in her perfectionism, I decided it would be a great lesson for both of us to accept and even embrace imperfections. While I will try to stretch my creativity, I suspect, that, like these images here, there will be shots from my point and shoot camera or even my phone.  I will attempt to go in order, but honestly, can’t promise either.  My goal is to complete the list, together with my daughter.  SO, here it is – Day 1 – a Self Portrait.
