Doubly Blessed | Palmetto Twin Photographer

Tuesday, April 24th, 2012

Double the anticipation, double the feedings, double the fears, double the tears. It’s a Boy, It’s a girl – Twenty fingers, twenty toes, perfect in every way. Special, unique, and miraculous. Levi and Dacey blessed their family on Leap Day this year. These babies were an absolute dream to photograph. Congratulations Lacey and Dale!

Avery | Sarasota Newborn Photographer

Thursday, March 8th, 2012

Through a series of connections and events,  (similar to the six degrees of Kevin Bacon), I had the privilege of photographing sweet Avery.  She was four weeks old at her session, which by photography standards, almost qualifies her for the senior citizen’s discount.  But, it didn’t stop us from getting some perfectly beautiful newborn images.  Her family requested artistic with a little bit of dramatic flair.  I think we accomplished just that.

Rylee and Layne | Sarasota Twin Photographer

Monday, January 30th, 2012

Meet Rylee and Layne.  You met their family here during the fall.  The little ones were anxious to meet their family and arrived several weeks early.  These identical twin girls were teeny, tiny at their session, but were as sweet as could be.  At just ten days old,  I was amazed at all of their hair, but even more amazed by the length of their eye lashes. Jenny and Josh, you were so natural and calm as parents of three!  Big sister Julia was taking on her new role with love and devotion.  You truly are a great team!  Congrats to your entire family!

Brynn | Bradenton, Florida Newborn Photographer

Friday, January 27th, 2012

I had the honor to meet sweet baby Brynn on her seventh day of life. I have known her family for quite some time, in fact, her big sisters were some of the first images on my original website. Brynn was as sweet as they come.  You will be seeing more of her on the blog in the future, hopefully, with the rest of her family.  Until then, here she is!  Congratulations Tiffani and Josh, she is perfect!

New Albums being offered | Sarasota Family Photographer

Tuesday, September 13th, 2011

Like most photographers, I get a ton of information regarding the latest, greatest, and newest products available. My decisions to offer certain products is based on a multitude of things, including: consistent quality, client demand, and costs.  Knowing that the product will be top notch, every time, when it comes from the lab to me and then to my clients plays a big part in selecting one company’s product over another. Since the very beginning, I have offered a press printed coffee table book as an option for client’s to “have it all” so to speak, in a cost effective, quality format.

I have been wanting to offer a higher-end album, with archival quality photographic paper for a while. There are so, so many album options and deciding on the one that best met my expectations has been a long process. I wanted an album that would be timeless, with several cover options, with consistent color and processing of photographic images. I wanted to order from a company that stood behind their products and that had a reasonable turn-around time. Well, I have found it and am proud to be offering a high-end photographic album to my product offerings.

OpLove Reunited: Nico | Sarasota & Bradenton Newborn Photographer

Saturday, August 20th, 2011

I recently became a volunteer photographer for Operation: Love – ReUnited.  The program was created to help provide a  moral boost for our troops who are away from our country, their home, and their families and loved ones.  Spouses have lots of support from their friends and family here, at home.  It’s our soldiers that need to be reminded that we love and support them every day. I get the honor and privilege of photographing these courageous servicemen and women and their families.

My first OpLove shoot was with sweet, newborn Nico.  This baby boy has not yet met his dad, who is currently deployed. I will admit, my whole perspective on doing a newborn shoot was a bit different for this one. With most newborns, I approach the session with the goal of creating a lasting memory of their new baby in an artistic way. I make great attempts to smooth blankets, unfold clenched fists, ensure all lighting is optimal, etc. I am, creating art after all. But this time, I really focused on all the details I, as a mother, spent hours studying during those first few weeks. I wanted to be sure to get Nico’s spikey, full head of hair. His big, inquisitive, soulful eyes, that are currently a piercing steel color. His lashes, his tiny toes, his squishy, wrinkly face. These are the things I want his dad to experience.  All, of the new, perfectness.

Chloe | Sarasota Newborn Photographer

Wednesday, August 10th, 2011

Chloe was almost 5 weeks old at her session.  Typically, the sleepy, bendy, squishy newborn images seen on my site are captured within the first two weeks of life, and I wasn’t sure we would be able to capture those moments with her.  I pulled a few tricks out of my bag and  Chloe was an absolute dream to photograph.  I was able to do capture her sweet innonence perfectly.   newborn photographSarasota Newborn PhotographerSarasota Newborn

I Heart Faces Photo Challenge | A touch of Whimsy

Tuesday, June 28th, 2011

I have been following the I Heart Faces Challenges  blog for a while. I never seem to get it together to enter. But, given the subject of this week’s challenge (“A touch of Whimsy), how could I not?  The challenging part for me was narrowing down the selection to just one image. Since I have this one on canvas hanging pretty large, I went with it.

Henry – Palmetto Newborn Photographer

Friday, March 18th, 2011

I’d like to introduce Henry! This little man was due on my birthday, March 17, but he had other plans. He arrived nearly three weeks early, with a head full of hair. This little man was a dream (quite literally) to photograph. He was just seven days old and really, made my job easy. I had so many favorites that I couldn’t limit them this time. Congratulations Amy and George, your sweet baby boy is perfect!
