I had the honor of photographing an event for Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida event last week. Charlotte is a five year old little girl who wished and wished to meet a unicorn.
This page has been quite quiet lately, blogging and posting previews have taken a back-burner, but I have many, many images to share.
Brady’s family has been anxiously awaiting a peek at his one-year portrait session. There were SO, SO many images from this milestone session at the beach, choosing just one was a challenge. I love the pure joyful expression Brady has in front of the amazing, colorful sunset.
This family, well, they are “my people.” We go way back to high school but found each other as “adults” almost ten years ago. Our children are a lot like siblings. My oldest two have been in class with these two boys since they were two years old and, without any doubt, have each others backs in good and bad times. Sometimes, knowing a family and kids so well can make photographing them a challenge. Not this time.
Ryan and Marla were high school sweethearts, and their love and respect for each other can be seen in these photos. I am so glad we took the time for a dance at sunset among the trees. The light was almost as magical as the moment. I adore the they way they are both looking at each other.
Tweens, especially boys, well, they can be tough in general, but even more so to photograph. But, not Jake and Zach. Their personalities are captured perfectly in these photos. Silent confidence plus a little inside joke to make their real smiles come through. As always, I love to photograph and document the details. Zach’s crystal blue eyes and perfect freckles. Jake’s perfect dimples and long lashes. This is them.
Luke gave his parents something extra special to be thankful for this year, as he was born on Thanksgiving Day, 2 1/2 weeks before he was due. Luke’s newborn portraits session took place at Fanciful Photography‘s St. Armand’s circle natural light studio on his ninth day (and nine days before he was due). He has such long lashes, a head full of dark hair, and the most perfect little chin dimple. While we photographed him in many set-ups, I am always drawn to the simple, neutral ones that really focus on the perfect, newborn details of the baby.
The best time to schedule your baby’s newborn portrait session is during the second trimester of pregnancy to ensure availability.
A few more 2016 Holiday Mini Sessions to go. Have to share this one of sweet Ava playing a little Hide-and-Seek during this morning’s session. I gasped when I was taking this and hoped it would be as good as I saw it through my lens. I am in love! The light, the expression, her eyes. I am so blessed to do what I love.
